What BIM can do for YOU |
 |
 |
BIM (Standing for.... oops! Can't tell you! See if YOU can figure it out and WIN BIG)...
BIM is the powerful, intuitive, and flexible content management system that comes FREE with our services.
We have spent a number of years developing BIM so that it is ideal for your needs, whether those needs are a portfolio site, an ecommerce site, or an educational site. We believe not only that style should follow substance (read: content), but that any web administrator should be able to communicate his or her content in style without having to be a computer genius. What is content? Any piece of information; a news story, a picture, a map, an audio clip, a link, a video, a sales item... You name it.
With BIM, it's easy for multiple users to add, edit, and manage media, inventory, and all kinds of content from dynamic maps to audio and video. Users can be given access to the full site or to selected areas.
Ecommerce features include an advanced pricing system in the shopping cart, that calculates commissions and markups, and allows shoppers to create "shadow boxes;" registered user and customer management; and support for multiple prices for different kinds of the same item, for those tricky times when your XXL costs $5 more. Order and registration tracking features allow the administrator to manage the client base with ease, and customer lists can be integrated into the subscription feature.
On the content side, you can choose from templates that include a Google map (where you can edit your own map points to show multi-tabbed info windows), a cross-referenced bibliography, a news style, gallery style, or inventory list. On each page, you have the option of adding more content to that page, or adding an entire subsection. With every chunk of content, you have the option of including media, text, links and inventory.
With media handling, you can upload media on the spot, and it will get automagically sized into thumbs and big versions; display preview thumbs for audio, video, and documents; play in an embedded flash slideshow (or not); crop, float, and align media; and include captioning and credit fields. And on and on....
I'll tell you folks, it's freaking GREAT! Again, it's free, but only with our services.
